Privacy Policy

Last updated November 4, 2026
PlateBOSS is made by Qalrix Group, LLC in East Texas. This policy explains what the app and plateboss.app collect, why, and how to get rid of it. If anything here isn’t clear, email [email protected].

If you’re looking for food (diners)

•
No account needed. You can browse specials without signing up.
•
Your location, only to find food near you. If you allow it, PlateBOSS uses your phone’s location to show specials near you. It’s sent to our server only to run that search. We don’t store it and we don’t tie it to you. If you say no, we show Longview, Texas instead. PlateBOSS never tracks your location in the background.
•
Taps, counted anonymously. When someone opens a special or taps Directions or Call, we add one to that special’s count so the restaurant can see how it’s doing. These counts aren’t linked to who you are.

If you run a restaurant

•
Your account: your email address. We use it to send your sign-in codes and to reach you about your listing.
•
Your listing: restaurant name, address and map pin, phone, website, food types, specials and photos. This part is meant to be public — it’s what diners see.
•
Your time zone, taken from your phone or computer, so “today” and your hours match your local time.

Who can see it

Approved restaurant listings and their specials are public. Your email address is private: only you and PlateBOSS staff can see it. Billing details are never shown to diners. These rules are enforced by the database itself, not just by the app screens.
We do not sell your information, we do not share it with advertisers, and we don’t build profiles of anyone.

Companies that help run PlateBOSS

•
Supabase stores the data, on servers in the United States.
•
Resend sends our emails, including sign-in codes.
•
Expo delivers app updates and notifications.
•
When you tap Directions, Apple Maps or Google Maps opens with the restaurant as the destination.
•
When a restaurant types its address on our website, the address is looked up with the U.S. Census Bureau geocoder (or OpenStreetMap as a backup) to place the map pin.
These companies process information only to provide those services.

Deleting your account

Restaurant owners can delete their account and listing at any time: For restaurants → sign in → Delete account, in the app or on plateboss.app. See the delete your account page for exactly what’s removed. Diners don’t have an account, so there’s nothing to delete.

Children

PlateBOSS isn’t directed at children under 13, and restaurant accounts are for adults running a business.

Changes

If this policy changes in a way that matters, we’ll update this page and tell restaurant owners by email.
